As a Catholic parish, the celebration of the sacraments is central to our mission. Our liturgical celebrations strive to reflect their heavenly splendor.
In addition to four Masses each Sunday, Mass and Confessions are offered at least twice daily at St. Thomas Aquinas Church Monday through Saturday during the school year. Any schedule alterations for Holy Days and school breaks will be posted on the schedule found below.
We owe everything to the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. All are invited to stop into the church to pray anytime between 10am and 10pm Monday through Friday, when the Blessed Sacrament is exposed. If you would like to make a weekly commitment to a Holy Hour between those times, sign up on the markerboard in the narthex. In addition, one of our greatest staple events of the year is a Eucharistic Procession through campus each fall. The public and students are invited to participate in this unforgettable event!
“He who sings,” said St. Augustine, “prays twice.” Our ministry is focused on loving Christ and drawing people closer to Him through music. There are three ways to get involved in music at the Newman Center. Full Choir: This choir sings on Thursdays at 10pm Mass and Sundays at 10am Mass. Rehearsals are held in the choir room (room 228) one hour prior to Mass. Simply show up! Cantor: Newman Center Cantors sing solo (with piano accompaniment) or in small groups at Sunday Masses and 10pm Masses where the full choir does not sing. Instrument: Musicians are always welcome to accompany the choir and cantors. Piano experience is preferred, but other instruments are welcome! Email Jenny Christensen with questions or to get involved!
