Getting Married at St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center

"Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church" -Ephesians 5:25

Setting a Date and Time:
St. Thomas Aquinas requires that a couple contact the parish a minimum of six months (one year preferred)
before the proposed wedding date. This allows ample time to complete the marriage preparation program.
Due to the number of requests, we are not able to schedule weddings sooner than 15 months out from the desired wedding date
and only after the couple is engaged.
The complete wedding policy can be found below.
St. Thomas Aquinas allows weddings, within or outside of Mass, to be conducted on Fridays at 3pm and Saturdays at 1pm and 4pm.

Requirements:
Because we are a University student parish and receive many requests for wedding ceremonies in our church,
St. Thomas Aquinas follows this requirement:
A person who wishes to marry at St. Thomas Aquinas must be a current student or graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Nebraska Wesleyan University, or Southeast Community College.
Priests of the Newman Center only organize marriage preparation for current students and recent graduates. Other graduates who desire to get married at the Newman Center should contact their parish priest to begin marriage preparation and celebrate their wedding.
Priests from the Diocese of Lincoln and outside priests who are able to provide a letter of good standing
are welcome to celebrate weddings at the Newman Center schedule permitting.

If you meet theses requirements, please complete the wedding inquiry form below.
Requests are reviewed each Monday and follow-up will normally happen within two weeks.
