In light of the gospel, we see how the Church is a church of beggars and sinners. The Lord's mercy shines on the tax collector who can only take one step into the temple, yet has great repentance in recognition of his sinfulness. We see Jesus meet him here and grant him freedom.
Father tells 2 stories that reveal the Father's mercy to those that feel that they are least deserving. May these stories of light encourage us to run into the Father's arms. For He always has more to give us.
