Jesus called together two very different people - Matthew the Tax Collector & Simon the Zealot - and taught them who the real enemy is: sin, evil, and the devil.

St. Paul encourages Timothy (both of whom are persecuted by Rome) to pray for those in authority and for those who persecute us.

Finally, St. Therese offers us a beautiful example of praying for those most entrapped in evil.
