Seventh Sunday in Ordinary TIme

We believe in a Gospel that we must take seriously, and today's gospel reading is a serious one.

Forgiveness is hard. Returning pain with love is hard, but it is the way of Jesus. In order to forgive and share the Lord's mercy with others in our lives, we need to receive His mercy first.

The ability to forgive and return pain with love requires extraordinary grace from God. Knowing His mercy, trusting in it. It also requires the use of our will to choose forgiveness and choose love.

When we choose love, we always win. For it is the most disarming weapon we have, and when we use it, we always win.
