31st Sunday in Ordinary Time

Just as the scribe in this week's gospel knew and followed the commandments, we can know all the right answers and follow the commandments. Yet, we can miss the deeper communion God longs to give us. Jesus said to the scribe, "You are not far from the Kingdom of God." He says the same to us.

So, what is missing?

It's not just about living correctly and following commandments. The end goal is to live freely as beloved sons and daughters of God and enter into the richness of His kingdom. This is a Kingdom filled with mercy, peace, and security. Jesus invites us into this abundance and closeness with Him. Turn to Him, let yourself be embraced, and trust that His love is already here for you.
