Twenty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time

We don’t want to live in cowardice, avoiding difficult conversations, or in a place of being overly critical. Somewhere in the middle is where the Lord is calling us, to have the courage to speak truth while remaining rooted in love.

Jesus makes it clear that we will sometimes be rejected, brushed off, or misunderstood. But if we can enter into those harder conversations knowing that we are already held in the love of the Father, that is our identity. Those conversations may be difficult, some even painful, but we are never without His love.
