The same God who is the God of perfection, from whom glory emanates looks at Simon and says, "Let me step into your boat."
God stepped in Simon's boat and sat down.
How often do we see God as if He only exists in perfection? Jesus' presence in our lives disproves this notion. Just as He asks Simon to step into his messy, smelly boat, He asks to step into our messy lives.
We often find ourselves dirty, broken and unworthy. Jesus does not enter into perfection. He steps into the mess to take us somewhere better, somewhere perfect. If we follow Him, He will carry us to Heaven.
