33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time
Nov 17, 2024 • Fr. Alec Sasse
The second coming of Jesus will not be a moment to fear for those in relationship with him, but a promise of love fulfilled. Just as He came to us in humility and mercy on the cross, He will return in glory to bring us home to the Father.
Jesus’ love is constant and unchanging—the same Lord who forgave sinners and healed the broken meets us now in the Eucharist and in our daily struggles. His return will be the coming of a friend, drawing us into eternal life and love.
Let us welcome Him with hope, praying, "Come, Lord Jesus." Open your heart, and allow His love to renew you. What awaits is far greater than we can imagine.
