31st Sunday in Ordinary Time

In today's readings, Jesus calls out our lust for power. In our world today, we may not find ourselves seeking what we traditionally imagine as power, but we seek to control and manage every part of our lives and to please every person around us. If only we can make our relationships perfect and our circumstances perfect, then all will be well. The truth is though that we have a Father who holds all that seems too big for us in his hands and on his shoulders. Will you let him?
