Reaching the UNL Campus for Christ, one student at a time.

Last year, at the beginning of fall semester, twenty of our student leaders graciously offered to give up their last week of summer to do full time outreach on campus as the new students moved into their dorms. As the students and missionaries spread out over campus, the impact was tangible. After full days of meeting people as they walked around campus, helping parents and new students break down their moving boxes, and chatting with the women going through recruitment as they waited for their next round, we hosted events each night at the Lot and were overwhelmed by the response! Freshman we met and talked to for a few minutes earlier in the day would invite their whole dorm floor to come and make s'mores and meet new friends at our green space on Greek row.

In addition, the student leaders who came back for that week were more on fire than any year before. They found themselves having deeper conversions in front of Jesus in adoration during their holy hours, talking to students they never would have thought to approach, digging deeper to find more joy and stamina to keep encountering others, and courageously shared with their friends and roommates why they were spending the last week of the summer meeting random people.

It was truly one of the best new initiatives we've ever done and are beyond excited to do it again this year!
