Ash Wednesday

When Jesus invites us to go into our room and lock the door and pray, he reveals to us that each of us has a heart and within that heart is a room where the Lord comes to meet us, to talk to us, to love us. So often the inner room which was originally a palace is now only a prison filled with the deepest shame, ugly sin, and scary isolation. This Lent, will you let him come and meet you there, because he desires to go there, to your inner room, the place that was created to hold the God of the Universe.
