4th Sunday of Advent

In our spiritual lives, we focus solely on what we can do for God. While God enjoys the good gifts His children bring Him, living in this way can form conscious and unconscious habits of trying to earn God's love. The more important dynamic in our spiritual lives is what God wants to do and what He is doing. He calls David to this conversion today in the First Reading and the Church gives us the example of Mary to see what a heart fully abandoned to the plans of God looks like. Let the Lord build the house and write the story.
