Palm Sunday

If we're honest about how we come into this Holy Week, we find that our hearts are very fickle. In fact, that's the human condition. And yet, as we walk through Holy Week, it becomes very clear that there is someone who is a part of these events whose heart is not fickle, whose heart is unswayed, undeterred from what needs to be done: Jesus. He has his gaze always on the Father and that allows his heart to be unswayed. And as we walk through His passion, we realize that those who are fixed on Jesus also have undivided hearts. They are the ones who are able to stay with him: Mary and Mary Magdalene and John. They are willing to suffer with him, to give their lives with him. The invitation for us this week is to have undivided hearts.
