4th Sunday of Easter

Apr 30, 2023    Fr. Alec Sasse

At baptism, we became children of God and means that Jesus is our shepherd. In the gift of our baptism, we are given the gift that will quench all of our thirst if we are willing to take our aches and longings to the streams of restful waters. We live amidst darkness in this world, but it is our shepherd, Jesus, who promises to lead us out of the valley of the shadow of death. When we are with Him, we need nothing else in this world. How do we receive this shepherding of Jesus? It is through the Church that Jesus keeps us under his protection and guidance.
