Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

The two seas in the Holy Land give us an outlook of the soul. In the ways that the sea of Galilee is able to give water away, it is able to sustain great life. The dead sea in contrast keeps its water resulting in no life being present.

The gospel calls us to not live in the bare minimum of the dead sea. The gift of faith allows us to lives fully as sons and daughters of God. In the lens of receiving everything as gift, we are able to give our life as a gift as well. Through this, we may understand ourselves and what our lives are truly about.
